Customer Service Rep I
Service Representatives are needed to fill call center positions. Classroom training is scheduled to begin May, 2012 at our Franklin campus. During the 2-3 months of classroom training, scheduled working hours will be 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Upon completion of the classroom training, you will be assigned an 8 hour shift between 7:00 am and 6:10 pm. After approximately 10 months in the role, individuals who successfully perform job duties will continue as a call center professional with an automatic promotion into an Intermediate Service Representative position.
BASIC FUNCTION: In a call center environment, represents the company in a positive manner and provides service to internal and external customers. Responds to service requests from a variety of communication channels such as phone calls, e-mail and internet. Provides answers and resolves issues for sales and service related questions and problems, which focus primarily on billing and collection, client data changes, potential clients, pending applications, underwriting requirements, and case management for life and disability insurance policies. Interprets, analyzes, resolves and documents cases. Accurately and promptly handles and completes cases. Demonstrates strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and handle a high volume of casework.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must successfully complete and pass any required testing. Customer service experience in the insurance or financial industries preferred. College education preferred. Strong customer focus and ability to turn negative situations into positive ones. Previous work experience must demonstrate the ability to analyze complex information, independently solve problems by applying concepts and using judgment. Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Superior verbal communication skills with an ability to explain complex technical information in customer terms are required. Business writing experience preferred. Demonstrated computer experience with solid keyboarding skills and proficiency with current software packages, including Windows.
