As an Associate Product Analyst you will act as the primary contact for regional management regarding issues related to UW rules, pricing and other types of analysis for assigned regions. You will evaluate loss, perform state reviews and participate on project teams to improve process and identify business solutions.

Responsibilities:

Evaluates loss experience in assigned states and/or region, performs trend analysis and forecasts losses and premiums based on current levels. Consults with underwriting, claims and sales management to keep field abreast if experience in their jurisdiction and adjusts analyses when market conditions change.

Performs state reviews by gathering information and conducting analysis in support of state filings of rate changes, including the compilation of documents required/requested by the Department of Insurance.

Performs pre-State Reviews and post-Program Implementation initiatives to analyze and validate data. May manage workload on projects.

Coordinates multiple Home Office projects to maintain state and countrywide compliance law changes and updates. Assists in the interpretation of new and revised laws, rules and regulations of states in order to maintain and ensure compliance requirements. Administers filing initiatives as needed.

Responsible for the revision and implementation of underwriting guidelines, rules and procedures. Facilitates the process from start to finish. Coordinates underwriting manual update process. Works with Regional Management and Analysts to process requests for updates to underwriting manual.

Conducts analysis and generates reports, develops recommendations, creates new procedures and policies. Requests may entail gathering internal historical data, correcting premiums to reflect actual and past rate activity, adjusting for losses due to changes in state experience and coordinating with management about changes in state conditions to make data adjustments. Includes countrywide amendatory endorsements, contract reviews, filing initiatives.

Assists in special projects by performing analysis based on management requests, including running queries, compiling and analyzing different reports, and making recommendations.
Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree with a graduation date between June 2010 and June 2011
* Minimum 3.0 or higher GPA (depending on school)
* Analytical and decision making skills
* Capability to understand a wide variety of business operations

* Strong technical skills
* Strong customer service orientation
* Demonstrated organization skills and ability
* Effective interpersonal skills including ability to negotiate successfully.
