As our newest Claims team member, you will be the voice of Assurant Solutions as you utilize your technical knowledge to work directly with consumers and service providers in support of our extended warranty business. You will use your keen analytical skills to validate the accuracy of claims submitted by service repair businesses to ensure we provide cost effective, quality repair and replacement services under extended protection plans. In return, you'll have the opportunity to work with a manager known for identifying and developing talent, in a role with tremendous growth potential.
Responsibilities: * Support the claims process for repairs for consumer electronics * Validate the accuracy of claims submitted by service repair businesses to ensure we provide cost effective, quality repair and replacement services under extended protection plans * Work with repair technicians to validate/document repair information and adjust claims accordingly * Review repair estimates and determine whether it is more cost effective to repair or to replace. * Approve repairs or replacements based on terms and conditions of extended warranty agreements * Enforce independent servicer agreements * Provide performance related feedback to Assurant's independent servicer network and communicate with internal teams to ensure that proper action is taken to correct performance
Required Skills/Experience * High school diploma/GED * 2 yrs experience as a Consumer Electronics repair technician repairing LCD, plasma, and DLP televisions or claims experience in this industry * Adept at using multiple Windows applications simultaneously * Demonstrated ability to multi-task * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Ability to type 25 wpm

* Call center experience * Customer service experience * Industry specific certification
