Duties: With a high level of reserve and settlement authority and under a low level of supervision/mentoring, manage assigned large premium accounts, including adjusting indemnity and complex medical only claims of reported injury or occupational disease. Establishes and maintains productive relationship with assigned accounts; analyzes experience information and prepares and conducts stewardship and claims review meetings with customers and producers in the field; responds to policyholder and producer inquiries. Investigates, evaluates, negotiates and settles claims in accordance with Claim Best Practices. Authorizes payment of medical and wage loss benefits. Assigns, directs and monitors rehabilitation and medical case management activities in accordance with Claim Best Practices. Moderate travel.
JOB SUMMARY (Concise summation of the essence of the job): With moderate level of reserve and settlement authority and under limited supervision/mentoring, manage an assigned caseload of indemnity and complex medical onlyclaims of reported injury or occupational disease.

Requirements:
Education and Experience: Requires a bachelor?s degree plus 4 years workers? compensation indemnity work experience or 3 years as Claims Examiner or, high school or GED plus 5 years of insurance experience in a workers? compensation setting AND either 4 years of workers? compensation indemnity work experience or 2 years as Claims Examiner. This position will require ococcasional travel.
Other combinations of education and experience that could provide the equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities will be evaluated and considered.
