Meet with policyholders to inspect/appraise damages to Dwellings, Other Structures and Personal Property.
Use Xactimate software to prepare diagrams, scopes of damage and estimates.
Identify and communicate any underwriting issues.
Manage an effective diary system and file inventory.
Identify Subrogation and Salvage opportunities.
Occasional catastrophe duty within the State of Texas.
Inspect all areas of the property.
Perform technical reviews of appraiser and contractor property damage estimates.
Maintain current knowledge of regulations, codes, industry activity and trends.
Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
3 – 5 years of outside property adjusting experience.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent. Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college, business school, or technical school is preferred.
Texas Property/Casualty Adjuster license.
Xactimate software certification.
Strong communication and customer interaction skills.
Strong investigative, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Skilled at using required property equipment, such as measuring devices, digital cameras, ladders, etc.
Ability to travel within territory.
Ability to inspect all areas of the property, which requires the ability to carry, set up and climb a ladder (approx. 50 lbs. with a safety weight of 300 lbs.), climb roofs and inspect crawl spaces and attics.
Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
