In this individualized two-year rotational development program you will strengthen your business and management capabilities and work directly with a Sr. Executive to align assignments based on your individual background and career aspirations. Immediate Responsibility In the Corporate Development Program, you'll have immediate responsibility in each of your four six-month assignments. Your assignments will be either operational or consultative projects, across cross-functional areas in field operations, strategic business units (SBUs), or corporate departments. Past assignments have included: * Finance - Gained a working understanding of the company's acquisition methodology and an understanding of capital markets and bank financing transactions. Screened for acquisition opportunities and developed/ updated valuation models. Supported due diligence for former acquisition. Evaluated rating agency capital model/key ratio forecasting process and developed/implemented recommendations to improve the timeliness and quality of the model's outputs. * Underwriting - Analyzed underwriting strengths and weaknesses and the steps to close gaps, compared our appetite to major competitors, and determined marketing needs to support targets and strengths. Involved in the actual account preparation, underwriting, positioning strategy discussions and quote delivery under the tutelage of a seasoned managing underwriter. * Distribution - Developed a business plan and execution strategy to grow a commercial book of business. Defined target market segmentation, created a financial model with ROI, identified key performance metrics, and led staffing initiatives. * Product Management - Assessed competitive intelligence activities across auto and property and made recommendations to improve process and gain efficiencies. Monthly exposure to senior management to provide competitor analysis and recommendations. Analyzed competitor activities and used learnings to forecast future financial results and expected future competitor activities. * Operations - Identified and supported the implementation of critical initiatives that delivered improved sales and service productivity of 4,000 field employees while simultaneously identifying and implementing process improvements that led to significantly higher levels of customer satisfaction. Developed analysis, tools, and project plans focused on driving significant improvements in overall field productivity. Management Pipeline CDP General Management - After completing the program, you'll work closely with your sponsor to identify appropriate markets, departments, and career paths that meet your career interests and to kick-start your career.
CDP - Finance - Individuals interested in a finance career will have assignments in both corporate and business finance functions and will exit the program into a finance track.
CDP- International - Opportunities for international candidates are based on business needs within our global operations. Individuals will have assignments both in Boston and internationally. At the end of the program, participants will be placed internationally based on Visa eligibility.
