Overview:

Responsibilities:
* Responsible for defining and implementing Oracle RDBMS code including both DDL and DML.
* Responsible for understanding and application of stored procedures and use of PL/SQL.
* Responsible for evaluating and implementing database tools, documenting schema, ER diagrams, standards for use, control, maintenance and database updates.
* Responsible for reviewing existing data architecture and making recommendations for enhancements and/or improvements.
* Responsible for the database design, creation and configuration, space management and other database maintenance procedures as required.
* Oversight and responsibility for performing Oracle database performance analysis, capacity planning, system sizing and ongoing maintenance/tuning to ensure maximum performance.
* Responsible for ensuring the continued cost effective performance of the database management system and related applications.
* Assist the development staff on all issues related to the Oracle Databases and others that will be required by the job.
Qualifications:
* Requires at minimum of 5 years solid Oracle DBA experience in 24X7 environments. Thorough demonstrable knowledge of Oracle database architecture and tools.
* Advanced expertise in stored procedure programming, data modeling, replication, performance monitoring and optimization, and database administration.
* Experience with building, installation, upgrade, and patching of Oracle.
* Strong backup and recovery skills experience.
* Demonstrable experience in SQL tuning writing cursors, triggers, complex queries, and web applications a plus.
* Knowledge of .NET application development a plus.
* Must be a self starter and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment with a strong desire and aptitude to complete each task with a high degree of quality.
* Experience working with customers and consultants to gather requirements and integrate with existing functionality. Expert knowledge of the standard concepts, practices, and procedures with strong attention to detail regarding the application of changes to mission critical systems.
* Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have strong internal customer service skills, ability to use tact and diplomacy, and to work effectively within a team (positive, process oriented).
