Global property and casualty specialty insurance writer is seeking a leader for their Houston operation.

Candidates will be responsible for business development, underwriting and management of this healthcare focused group that includes physician groups (individual, group and allied groups) in a wide array of specialties. As head of office manager, you will be responsible for a reporting staff of local and remote production underwriters and support personnel. Coverage is written mainly through wholesale brokers and a few select retailers and on a non-admitted basis.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
A minimum of 10 years total experience in Property and Casualty Insurance Industry
An in-depth knowledge and underwriting experience of medical malpractice coverage for individual physicians, group practices, allied medical and social services.
A minimum of 5 years experience on the E&S side of the business
A minimum of 2 years experience managing an underwriting team
Strong broker relationships
Strong leadership and team building skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Bachelors degree
