The position of Employee Benefits Sales and Marketing Rep is an exciting career opportunity to join a rapidly growing organization. We are currently seeking an engaged insurance professional to join our sales team in our Los Angeles, CA Group Office. Qualified candidates will have interest and experience in the following areas:
*
Attaining annually established sales quotas.
*
Identifying major producers and groups for business prospects.
*
Maintaining contact with employee benefit specialists, brokers and consultants to develop and establish a rapport conducive to Mutual of Omaha being considered for bidding on a group insurance contract.
*
Informing sales/service support staff of prospective clients and overseeing completion of contract proposals.
*
Obtaining all proposal information, negotiating for optimal contract provisions and presenting group insurance plan.
*
Staying abreast of industry and government changes affecting group insurance and maintaining an awareness of existing and developing market trends.
*
Group Insurance Sales: Base Salary: $36,000; Plus incentive compensation based upon sales results
This job requires a background that demonstrates the following minimum knowledge, skills, talents and traits:ยท
*
Licensed agent/producer.
*
Demonstrated sales ability evidenced by previous attainment of sales quotas and successful account management experience demonstrated by persistency and proven Broker relationships.
*
Knowledge, experience and understanding of Group products.
*
Thorough understanding of group insurance products, marketing techniques, and procedures for underwriting, rating, policy and contract issuance, and claims.
*
Ability to travel and a valid driver's license.
*
Ability to successfully complete a background investigation to include, credit, motor vehicle record and appropriate insurance licence checks.
