EMPLOYEE BENEFITS INSURANCE ACCOUNT MANAGER

Do you have at least eight years employee benefits account manager experience?

 

IPS has an opportunity for an Employee Benefits Insurance Account Manager to manage a dedicated service team.  Our client company is the second largest privately held insurance brokerage operation in California and holds a vision of becoming the premier specialty brokerage in the country.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Manage all client related services and client relationships
  • Manage mid-sized book of business (100-1500 lives) through direction of employees on service team
  • Meet with clients, coordinate and execute midyear renewal, change of carrier, etc.
  • Select and negotiate with carriers and manage third party vendor relationships and contracts
  • Serve as technical expert and assist department members in resolving issues
  • Develop new business leads and create client sales opportunities


Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum five years related work experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to develop sound relationships with multiple clients
  • Firm working knowledge of employee benefits programs
  • Excellent computer skills, proficient in agency management system
  • Well organized, ability to multi task and prioritize
  • Clear and well developed verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact with vendors and co workers effectively
  • Ability to work within a team and foster teamwork
  • Valid insurance license
