Field Claims Representative - Casualty
Reporting to the Team Leader, Casualty/Litigation, you will be accountable for the field investigation, evaluation and settlement of personal injury and commercial liability claims. You work in conjunction with peers to achieve planned goals to keep the loss ratio to a minimum.
Specific Responsibilities:
•Reviewing and applying interpretations of policy wordings in the resolution of coverage issues.
•Completing field investigations including conducting interviews, obtaining statements and undertaking scene investigations.
•Determining quantum on injury claims by reviewing medical reports and assessing appropriate course of action.
•Reviewing all claim investigation documents and material to determine liability.
•Maintaining detailed electronic file records.

Personal Characteristics:
•Professional, friendly and courteous in all interactions, whether with customers or co-workers.
•Perform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressure.
•Team player adaptable to a changing environment.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:
•University degree in any discipline or a college diploma or the CIP designation.
•Minimum of five years' casualty claims handling experience, including field investigation experience.
•Valid driver's licence with a driving record acceptable to the company.
