We are looking for a highly accomplished individual to join our Commercial Lines Property Claims Team. This position demands a professional with a successful track record, who is goal oriented, results driven, and can work well independently!
As a Field Commercial Property Claims Specialist, you will: * Review and assess policies; including coverage application and making recommendations on sending Reservation of Rights letters or Denials for approval * Use exactimate to write large property estimates * You will be able to work from home, have a company car, travel to the property site with the tools you need to handle claims * Analyze, investigate and adjust moderate to complex commercial claims within assigned authority limits * Use your strong verbal communication skills to educate and provide direction to our insured, work with agents, independent adjustors, contractors, and/or cause and origin experts * Ability to calculate Insurance to Value and apply Co-Insurance * Capability to adjust Large Commercial Property losses * Successful time management skills with the ability to self direct and the capacity to excel in a fast paced environment * Determine and document subrogation potential * Evaluate claims for potential fraud and work with the SIU Unit as appropriate * Participate in catastrophe duty as needed Are you experienced in handling commercial property claims? * BS/BA degree or equivalent and 3 years experience as a Claims Representative * Experience with Xactimate estimating software * Licensing required in certain states * Industry certifications preferred (e.g. AEU, IIA, CPCU) * Thorough knowledge of claims investigation techniques as well as legal aspects of the claim * Financial settlement knowledge
