General Purpose of Job: Our growing team of Sales Specialists receive inbound calls and make proactive outbound calls in an effort to sell auto and homeowner insurance for Plymouth Rock and its affiliate companies. This is a very dynamic and successful sales program, achieving a high conversion rate. In addition to providing quotes and sales to prospects, the Sales Specialists reach out to our existing customer base for cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, and support the Consumer Marketing department by maintaining effective customer relations, implementing other sales referral programs and participating in our customer retention programs.
Requirements:
• Receive inbound calls and make proactive outbound calls to potential clients in an effort to quote and bind auto and homeowner insurance coverage for Plymouth Rock and its affiliate companies. • Provide an exceptional sales experience to prospects in order to meet sales targets and performance goals. • Prepare personalized auto and homeowner insurance quotes to prospects and use assumptive closing techniques to close sales. • Contact existing clients to generate cross-sell opportunities, as well as to implement account review and retention programs. Education and Experience: • Prior sales experience required. • Demonstrated persuasion and negotiation skills. • Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills. • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Products (WORD, EXCEL, Internet). • Ability to define and relate appropriate products to the specific needs of customers. • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university is a plus. • Must obtain a NJ Property and Casualty Insurance producer license within first 4 weeks of employment date. (You will receive fully paid training and we will sponsor you for your insurance license). • Spanish-language fluency a plus. Additional Information: • Sales Specialist(s) earn a competitive base salary and have the potential to earn a monthly bonus based upon sales production. • Full time hours are 11:00 AM - 7:15 PM with alternating Saturdays. Part time hours are as needed which includes evenings and Saturdays. • Holiday work may be required.
