General Liability Claims Adjuster

Overview :
Macy's, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the General Liability Claims Adjuster position located in Cincinnati, OH.
Key Accountabilities :
  • Conducting telephone interviews/investigations with customers, store associates and witnesses relating to customer accidents.
  • Researching and assessing legal liability and estimating potential financial exposure.
  • Analyzing and summarizing medical records, bills and other claim related documentation.
  • Development of claim values, negotiating points and strategies for resolution.
  • Negotiating settlements with customers and attorneys, and processing relating legal paperwork.
Skills Summary :
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products(Word, Excel, etc.) and Lotus Notes.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to adhere to Best Practice Standards.
  • Ability to make sound quick decisions based on limited information.
  • Prior success in providing high quality customer service in a professional environment.
  • 1-2 years prior claims adjusting experience a plus.
