WellPoint is the nation's leading health benefits company serving the needs of approximately 28 million medical members nationwide.
Responsible for interacting with the leadership in each state and developing teams to work on the state and member health indexes. Provide consultative support to these leadership teams for all activities related to the Member Health and State Health Index programs including overall strategy, the accuracy of reports, analyzing results and implementing programs to drive improvement in the indices. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Provide support to the plan presidents; health care management teams (including care management, disease management, wellness, and network management); Health Solutions, including HMC associates; and 4SB associates to identify barriers and opportunities to improve and to implement improvement plans. Represent WellPoint to State Departments of Health and other external stakeholders on joint initiatives related to the State Health Index; lead enterprise-wide teams; develop relationships with regional care management groups and work with them to improve operational interfaces; and serve as a subject matter expert and trainer on the MHI and SHI.
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor of Science, Nursing or Masters of Public Health; Registered Nurse; 5+ years experience involving direct health care background and analyses of health care data, at least two year in a managed care organization; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Masters of Science, Nursing or health care related degree and CPHQ preferred.
