Description
Maintains professional knowledge of Healthy Families, Healthy Kids, Medi-Cal and Medicare programs. At least 90% implementing and participating in all outreach activities aimed at increasing enrollment for all product lines(Healthy Families, Healthy Kids, Medi-Cal, Medicare) such as community presentations on program eligibility, health fairs and outreach events. Responsible for providing application assistance for enrollment in any of L.A. Care's product offerings. The Representative will collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and evaluate enrollment, and coordinate outreach efforts. The Field Rep will also develop and cultivate relationships through a combination of direct and indirect marketing activities to reach the targeted eligible population. The Field Rep will also establish and maintain relationships with plan providers, community based organizations, faith based organizations, senior centers and small businesses.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Required:
- Valid California Drivers License and adequate automobile insurance. - High school diploma. - Sales training programs. - College coursework.
Preferred:
Associate or Bachelor degree
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
CAA Certification and State of California Life and Disability License or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 3+ years sales experience in insurance, healthcare or financial products with a successful track record. - Ability to demonstrate territory development and achievement of organizational and personal goals and objectives. - Must be able to work independently, be flexible with work hours including evenings and weekends. - A working knowledge of Medi-Cal, Healthy Families, Healthy Kids and Medicare programs or ability to complete training programs and receive passing score of 85% or better. - Excellent telephone and face-to-face communication (oral and written) and presentation skills. - Basic to intermediate experience with MS Office and client contact management software (Goldmine, Salesforce.com or similar software). - Fluent conversationally in Spanish or other threshold languages is a plus.
