Manager, Agency Development - Agency Sales (Individual Financial Services) -Develops, grows and provides oversight to the individuals providing product and process information and training to the field offices. Accountable for creating, driving and implementing system and processes to support field management and agents in order to grow the agency office practices.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
* Plan, organize, staff and manage department activities including: Interviewing, selecting and training employees, monitoring and appraising performance of direct reports to hold them accountable for end results including: coaching and motivating direct reports, administering disciplinary action as needed, and administering compensation. Develop and maintain an engaged and accountable workforce and a fair and equitable work environment.
* Oversees the development of course materials and programs to meet sales need and supports the agent/management development program strategies. Applies evaluation, research and analysis techniques to assess the effectiveness of current programs.
* Oversees the implementation of life and health sales support strategies to promote the achievement of objectives; ensures coordination of efforts through the initiatives of all product lines in support of sales objectives and goals.
* Effectively collaborates within business partners to achieve solutions. Communicate a clear and profitable direction for the area and foster successful relationships to achieve communication and transparency with business partners.
* Consults with agents and managers on industry best practices to allow them greater success in various aspects of their business.
* Creates innovative new systems and processes to support agent and manager development strategies.
* Provides consulting around industry best practices. Creates action plan(s) around practices for each field office and tracks each action plan to ensure appropriate training and/or development needs are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
* Thorough background and knowledge of distribution sales, marketing strategies and general business operations
* Ability to communicate verbally and translate technical concepts into simple understandable terms
* Excellent human relations, communication, classroom presentation and creative/technical writing skills
* Prior experience in training course development, delivery and follow up analysis of training results
* Thorough knowledge of sales recruiting, selection and retention procedures and guidelines
* Ability to verbally communicate and translate complicated technical concepts into simple, understandable terms
* Ability to collaborate with internal resources
* Securities registration for Series 6 and 63, or the ability to obtain within 180 days of employment in this position.
* Life & Health Licenses, or the ability to obtain within 180 days of employment in this position.
* Ability to travel up to 70-80% of the work period.
