Donegal Insurance Group is seeking an Office Claim Representative in its Property Unit just outside of Marietta, PA. Donegal Insurance Group offers opportunities for career growth and advancement, excellent benefits and a competitive salary.
You?ll operate as a property Office Claim Representative from our Corporate Headquarters just outside of Marietta, PA. As the Office Claim Representative, you will handle claims in compliance with established company standards and guidelines. Responsibilities:
Investigate, evaluate, and settle claims as assigned by the Supervisor / Manager
Monitor and direct file handling being performed by Independent Adjusters, Experts, and Defense Counsel
Recommend changes (if necessary) on approved list of Independent Adjusters, Experts, and defense counsel
Monitor reserves for adequacy and timely closing
Monitor and control loss adjustment expenses
Maintain good relationships with agents, policyholders, and all company personnel
Report all risk information to the Underwriting Department that would indicate an undesirable policy
Maintain awareness of industry changes by review of trade journals, case law, etc
Adhere to all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations
Requirements:
Requirements:
Bachelors degree OR 3 years of P&C Claims experience
2 years of experience handling first party homeowner and/or commercial claims (Property & Casualty)
Active Adjuster License for the State of Delaware OR willing to obtain one
Able to handle fluctuating workload
Strong technical knowledge of claim handling procedures
Excellent written and verbal skills
