Description This position is accountable for the overall performance of the area and financial representative group within the regional financial office, including the key activities, responsibilities, and accountabilities identified below and such others as the managing partner may designate from time-to-time.
The partner is accountable for growing net capacity, member engagement, and revenue/ABC's, by leading and guiding the performance of launch or production managers (if assigned), team based practices, and financial representatives in the area.
1. Attract talent
? Attract and develop successful financial representatives and assist in developing potential front line leaders.
? Assist in recruiting financial representatives and conducting interviews.
2. Manage talent and supporting functions
? Drive vertical accountability through one-on-one's with direct reports and assigned new financial representatives.
? Conduct joint field work with financial representatives to increase effectiveness and promote the Thrivent Advisory Process.
? Assist/coach financial representatives in activities such as business planning, book management, and practice management.
? Attend and participate in regional financial office leadership team meetings and regional financial office meetings.
? Coordinate with regional financial office support functions (recruiting, supervision, MELs, etc.) with emphasis on business development.

3. Plan and allocate resources
? Review market data and develop strategy and tactics for maximizing market opportunity within assigned geography.
? Drive activity in area within regional financial office through use of vital statistics (i.e., number of appointments, effectiveness of the sales process and average ABCs per household).
? Leverage corporate marketing programs to enhance local engagement - building on Meaningful Contact Initiatives (MCI).
4. Engage with community and conduct public relations
? Build and maintain personal relationships with Lutheran community leaders.
? Support the integration of fraternal activities into area distribution.
Position Qualifications
. Series 7, 63 & 65 or 66, state insurance license and company appointed in all lines and in all states that comprise the regional financial office.
. The Series 24 is required within 90 days of assuming the position.
. Series 7, 63 & 65 or 66, state insurance license and company appointed in all lines and in all states that comprise the regional financial office. Once financial associates are assigned for coaching/mentoring, it will require the senior partner/partner to obtain securities, state insurance licenses and appointments in all lines and in all states where the associate is conducting business and receiving commissions.
. CLU, ChFC, CFP and/or CLF designation strongly preferred.
. College degree and/or equivalent experience in the financial services industry.
. Strong leadership, management and sales experience in the financial services industry.
. Membership in the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) or National Association of Fraternal Insurance Counselors (NAFIC) and GAMA required. Membership in the Society of Financial Services required based on eligibility.
. Insurable under both the Society's applicable fidelity bond and errors and omissions coverage.
. Ability to effectively travel around the assigned geographic area.
. Occasional commercial travel for meetings, conferences and training.
. Demonstrated history of sound personal finances.
