Personal Lines Claims Representative
PERSONAL LINES CLAIMS REPRESENTATIVE
IPS has an opportunity for a Claims Representative with three or more years of claims experience to oversee a personal lines claims desk for a reputable MGA in the tri valley area. This position offers a convenient East Bay location with all of the resources of a larger organization.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Review and process claims, directing the workflow between departments
Liaison between client, sales team and carrier
Conduct file reviews, delegate claims to team members, oversee completion checklists, submit claim reports/documentation to insurer, process claim payments
May have some training and supervisory responsibilities
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
In depth knowledge of personal lines claims with an emphasis on homeowners exposures.
Excellent communication skills, ability to speak and listen clearly and build relationships
Positive attitude, professional, motivated
High school degree, college preferred
Minimum 3 years claims experience
Familiarity with insurance agency computer systems, word processing and capable of doing all functions in database with claims information
California Fire & Casualty license a plus
