LoVullo Associates, Inc., an innovator in providing a wide variety of specialty and hard-to-place lines of insurance, is looking for a Personal Lines Underwriter to work with a first-class team of insurance professionals!
Responsibilities include: * Review applications for all lines of personal specialty insurance to determine underwriting eligibility * Review new business submissions * Place acceptable risks with a variety of carriers * Provide rate quotes for applications * Through marketing efforts, develop and solicit prospective new customers and maintain positive relationships with current customers both in and out of the office * Handle all client communication and inquiries regarding lines of business * Maintain timely sales and service goals
To be considered, candidates must have at least five (5) years of direct experience as a Personal Lines underwriter, with significant homeowner's policy experience. NYS broker's license is required. Candidates must be comfortable with marketing and sales in a production underwriting capacity, and be willing to travel. Candidates should be self-motivated individuals, who set and achieve high standards. Superior written and verbal communication skills are required. Candidates should possess strong organizational, comprehension, and negotiation skills.
