As a member of "TEST, the Senior Application Developer collaborates with team members to produce technology solutions and services using a combination of open source and commercial programming infrastructure and tools for development. This role requires a mix of proficient programming skills, application design ability, and understanding of database structure.
This is a project position with an estimated length of about 2.5 years.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with architects and designers to develop technology solutions and services within a dynamic iterative development process.
Assist team in analyzing and interpreting solution requirements.
Write functional and design specifications.
Write and validate code in accordance with solution requirements
Research and remain current on latest trends in technologies, products, and platform innovations.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of consistent experience working as an Application Developer, Programmer, Software Engineer, or equivalent role.
Solid experience and proficiency with the one of the following programming languages : C, C++, .NET .
Experience with the following technologies a plus: PHP, JavaScript, HTML, Ruby, or other web development frameworks.
Experience with agile development principles and practices.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Team-oriented, energetic, and innovative.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with UNIX Shell Scripting and MySQL plus.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or similar field of study or equivalent professional experience.
