Responsibilities:

* Examine policy coverage forms and other records to determine insurance coverage.
* Conduct telephone interviews and written correspondence, with claimants and insureds.
* Analyze, review, negotiate, and settle property/GL claims of varying complexity in a thorough manner with minimal supervision.
* Assist in agency management by providing feedback to Underwriting.
* Establish and monitor reserves to adequately reflect exposures, making appropriate changes as files develop.
* Handle, manage, and oversee complicated losses in area(s) of expertise.
* Participate on catastrophe teams as needed (inside and outside of the regularly assigned region), including participation in the after-hours emergency claim response program.
* Provide superior customer service for all internal and external customers.


Qualifications:

Required:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
* Good keyboard/PC skills.
* Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
* Knowledge of claims laws and coverages.
Preferred:
* Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
* 3+ years previous property claims experience.
* Estimating experience using Xactimate, IntegriClaim or similar software.
* Certificate in general insurance.
* AIC, CPCU, or ARM designation.
* Fluency in Spanish.
