QUALITY MANAGER

We is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to become a part of our Executive Leadership Team as a Quality Manager. The position is a mix of providing management oversight and leadership along with performing quality duties directly. Specifically, the position will be responsible for:
· Providing overall leadership of the quality department (6-8 personnel) to support company goals for quality, schedule and cost
· Maintaining and managing Cobham quality systems (ISO 9001, AS 9100) to assure that all products manufactured by the company meet customer specifications
· Interfacing with customers and government representatives regarding quality issues and source inspection
· Leading or supporting key continual improvement initiatives
· Acting as a quality engineer on programs as identified
· Developing and maintaining a Supplier Quality Program to assure that high-quality vendors are used and metrics are in-place.
· Meeting with vendors, customers and Company personnel to discuss and resolve quality problems as required.
· Reviewing and approving design, manufacturing, test and supplier documentation to insure that those requirements are fulfilled. Includes review of design drawings and changes, assembly procedures, composite lay-up procedures, process procedures, test procedures, procurement documents, quality manuals, etc.
· Providing company leadership of implementing effective root cause and corrective action processes using a 5-Why Approach.
· Monitoring supplier performance ratings with our customers take internal action to ensure ratings are 100%.
Position Requirements:
· 5-10 years experience as a Quality Manager or Supervisor in a manufacturing environment, aerospace preferred
· Direct supervisory / management experience
· Requires a Bachelors Degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field with AS-9100 and Continual Improvement training or coursework.
· Extensive knowledge of AS-9100 and all applicable military inspection and quality standards
· Fluent in root cause analysis and identifying/implementing corrective actions
· Experience in the use of quality measurement equipment, including knowledge of coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
· Ability to read and understand technical specifications and engineering drawings.
· Must have working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to prepare and present professional presentations in a customer setting.
· Ability to obtain a secret level security clearance
