INSURANCE CLAIMS EXAMINER
IPS has an opportunity for an analytical minded individual with one detail oriented office experience to take over an existing desk with claims in process. Our client company is a well established leader in the Specialty Lines Insurance market. High standards, adaptability and a sharp mind are demanded in this positive work environment of close knit, professional employees. This person will work remotely from a home office, offering unparalleled flexibility.
RESPONSIBILITIES: • Evaluate new notifications of claims • Make decisions to cover or deny based on criteria and facts • Work closely with management and other staff to gather information and follow up • Write multi-page letters, business letters and emails to clients and attorneys • Discuss matters and communicate professionally regarding claims • Analyze information, formulate conclusions and make sound decisions
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS: • One years general office experience in a detail oriented environment, accounting or legal experience a plus • Knowledge of the insurance industry desired but not required • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to detect discrepancies and variances in wording, spelling and numbers • Strong analytical abilities and creative problem solving skills • Strong customer service skills, pleasant and professional demeanor • Ability to stay organized, manage time, attend to detail, follow through and self motivate • Bachelor’s degree desired
