Position Overview:

This position requires the person to, under minimal supervision, primarily analyze, design, develop, test, administer, customize, implement and support SharePoint sites for all of Euro-Pro’s departments. 

The candidate must demonstrate a keen ability to leverage SharePoint capabilities and industry` compatible products to bring organization and business cohesiveness across functional teams.  
 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing, deploying, and supporting customized intranet, and public facing extranet SharePoint sites, using Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 / 2010 and third-party products
• 5+ years of experience primarily with SharePoint MOSS 2007/2010, SharePoint Services, SharePoint Designer, web parts, workflows, and both InfoPath and web enabled forms, Microsoft Visual Studio, web development (.ASP .NET, HTML, CSS, XSL, XSLT, JavaScript, IIS)
• In depth knowledge of the SDLC.
• 5 to 10 years developing technical design specifications
• 5 to 10 years of extensive UI Development
• In-depth understanding of physical and logical server architectures for SharePoint
• Manage the SharePoint environment across the production and development servers (configuration, security/permissions, and maintenance)
• Work with project management, business teams, and departments to assess and refine requirements and to design/develop solutions for collaboration and workflow applications
• Implement SharePoint based applications in a timely manner across the organization based on standard life cycle management practices (design, development, test, deployment and post deployment support)
• Act as a SharePoint subject matter expert, and interface with on-shore and off-shore firms providing specialized SharePoint consulting services
• Provide hands-on training to the organization on both general SharePoint functionality and capabilities, and for existing site enhancements or changes
• Maintain current industry knowledge of development concepts, best practices and procedures for SharePoint solutions
• General working knowledge of network technologies and concepts (LAN/WANs, client/server topologies, back-up and recovery protocols,  server hardware, server storage and other infrastructure client/server applications)
• Strong skills with MS-Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)

• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
• Experience in Business Intelligence Tools experience (QlikView, Micro Strategy, Business Objects, Cognos, etc…) is a MAJOR plus

Education and Experience:

• 5-10 years significant experience in the information technology arena
• 5-10 years of hands on extensive experience with Sharepoint Development.
• Experience programming with BI tools is a MAJOR plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
• MS MCTS or MCPD Certification is a plus.
• 25% Travel Required to Montreal (1 week per month)
