Department: Claims Division: Corporate Location: Red Bank, NJ Requirements: The Specialty - Admitted Lines / Taxi Claim Unit is seeking a highly professional claims examiner with a penchant for claim handling ownership from notification to resolution. The successful candidate will welcome a full caseload for which they will be responsible for conducting investigations, analyzing coverage, evaluating liability exposures, and negotiating settlements. Additionally, the candidate will direct activities of defense counsel in accordance with litigation management guidelines; submit catastrophic cases to senior claims management; and establish resolution strategy. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience and minimum of 10 years experience handling motor vehicle liability claims * CPCU or other insurance industry related courses preferred * Experience evaluating coverage and preparing correspondence * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Ability to proactively self-manage a high caseload * A proven track record of successful negotiation and litigation management * Ability to travel * Proficient in MS Word, EXCEL, Outlook * A respect for authority and a disdain for bureaucracy * Sense of humor If you are having trouble applying online you can submit your resume via email .
