Department:Operations Office: Corporate (Denver, CO) Location: Denver, CO
The Senior Utilities Analyst is responsible for annual budgeting, review and analysis of the department’s performance against budget. The Senior Utilities Analyst will identify, explore and implement measures that reduce costs and improve utility recapture. In addition, this individual will identify opportunities that improve the department’s internal processes by working closely with the Director of Utilities and other departments to communicate the issues to senior management for resolution or approval. Principal Responsibilities: 1. Develops and produces insightful reports and documents related to the overall operations of the department. 2. Works closely with the accounting department to ensure that utility income and expense accruals are accurate, properly tracked and reported 3. Provides internal customers with analysis related to the operation of the utilities department on a local, divisional and national scale. 4. Assists the accounting and operations departments with the day to day activities and related operations of utilities within the company. 5. Reviews monthly community information to verify current rates and accurate billing. 6. Initiates, drives, tracks and analyzes information related to companywide utilities initiatives. 7. Serves as the principal investigator and communicator for utility loss and revenue related issues. 8. Proactively reduces losses and enhances revenue within the utility department. 9. Assists with ongoing national contracts. 10. Other related duties as specified. Qualifications:
1. Requires strong proficiency with Windows and MS Office Applications. 2. Experience with Oracle Financials, Yardi and OLAP applications such as TM1 required. 3. Requires strong mathematical, organizational and written documentation skills. 4. Requires the demonstrated ability to manage department related negotiations in a timely and correct manner. 5. Requires Bachelors Degree from an accredited university.
