Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Completion of an approved educational program or five years of related experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Minimum of three years experience in programming analysis, including designing and developing complex programs from detailed specifications required.
Knowledge of computing systems, data processing equipment, programming languages, analysis techniques, operating systems, relational tables, test and data management required.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel and Word required.
Knowledge of Data Piction, Hilary, SQL and/or RIMS software preferred.
Strong analytical and organizational abilities are necessary to meet deadlines.
Must be able to manage multiple tasks.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Designs, codes, trouble shoots, maintains and tests existing and proposed custom reports, data extracts, and Access databases for the RIMS application utilized by SNL and BMS to meet the specific needs of internal and external clients to provide statistical data to evaluate utilization and facilitate the renewal process.
Creates, modifies, and maintains vendor interfaces with financial institutions, fax back systems, web portal, subrogation, medical management, multiple PBM’s, ID card generation, clearinghouses, BPO vendor, and check and EOB print and distribution vendor to transmit and receive in designated formats and in accordance with each entities schedule.
Coordinates the electronic submission of enrollment through RIMS proprietary formats or HIPAA transaction 835 code sets.
Assists in implementation of point in time releases, enhancements and upgrades to RIMS in conjunction with claims processing system vendor to maintain the integrity and stability of the claims processing system.
Serves as liaison between BMS and the BCBSLA IT and EDI departments for the transmission of data and the completion of programming needs that can not be handled due to complexity or volume.
This position reports to Director, TPA Operations. This position is a grade level 15. The starting minimum salary is $5,032.84/mo.
