It provides assistance to program staff and direct services to consumers in the areas of orientation, information and referral, initial intake, gathering information for determining eligibility, career exploration, work evaluation and adjustment, plan implementation, caseload management, consumer purchasing, job seeking skills training, job placement and retention, and serves as backup to team members. Job duties include: provides orientation, initial intake and information and referral services for applicants so that they understand the full range of services offered through the Workforce Center System including Vocational Rehabilitation core and intensive services; provides plan implementation services to RS consumers; provides caseload management support and follow-up services for counselors to support clients in their rehabilitation process; processes sensitive financial documents and arrange for the purchase of goods and services for consumers; to assist consumers in their job search efforts. Minimum Qualifications: TO ENSURE CONSIDERATION, your resume must clearly indicate your experience and qualifications in the following: A minimum of one year of experience in an organization (public or private) whose mission includes the provision of services to persons who are injured or disabled so that an understanding and sensitivity toward people with disabilities has been obtained. Position Qualifications: - Customer Service Skills (phone, in person, public presentations) sufficient to perform intake, to build rapport with consumers and to interact with consumers throughout the rehabilitation process. - Keyboarding sufficient to create correspondence, enter data in a database. - English (Speaking and Written) sufficient to interview consumers and employers, present job-seeking skills training, and to draft correspondence and complete forms. When the position requires travel and the applicant drives a state owned or leased vehicle, a drivers license and record check will be conducted.
