Workers Compensation Insurance Underwriter
COMMERCIAL INSURANCE UNDERWRITER WHOLESALE, E&S
IPS is searching for an experienced underwriter to work with an organization that is known for its energetic corporate culture. This opportunity is temporary with the possibility of permanent hire for the right person.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Underwrites new and renewal business, and coverage changes
Evaluates risks, exposures and coverage issues
Communicates rationale for underwriting decisions
Exhibits a commitment to finding ways to underwrite business to a profitable result without sacrificing quality
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5 years commercial underwriting experience, workers compensation experience preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels in the organization and to maintain agency and insured relationships
Computer experience with Word, Excel and software programs related to underwriting (e.g. rating tools)
Strong analytical skills
